The venue site

The University of Vienna, founded in 1365, is one of the oldest universities in the world and the oldest in the German-speaking realm. Its long history stretches back more than six and a half centuries, giving it a distinguished place among Europe’s ancient centers of learning.

Over the centuries, the university has grown from a medieval institution into a major hub of research and education. Its historic main building on the Ringstraße reflects both its age and its evolution, blending tradition with academic vitality.

Many people describe the University of Vienna as a *nice* and inspiring place—not only because of its beautiful architecture, but also because of its lively student atmosphere, numerous cultural activities, and welcoming public spaces.

Main Ceremonial Hall (Grosser Festsaal)

The  Main Ceremonial Hall (Grosser Festsaal) of the University of Vienna is a grand ceremonial hall completed in 1884 along with the university’s Main Building on the Ringstraße. Though far younger than the university itself, it still carries well over a century of history and has hosted countless academic and cultural events.

In Magnonics 2027, the latest scientific advancements will be presented in this breathtaking architectural wonder.

Arcaded courtyard (Arkadenhof)

Besides the talks presented in the ceremony hall, the conference will count on the Arkadenhof as a summery venue for poster presentations. 

Conference participants will also have the opportunity to socialize and discuss in the courtyard.
